{Guest Post} Marriage without Gratitude

I am so excited to have Becky from Tales of Beauty For Ashes here today.  Becky is such a sweet soul and a NEW MOMMA!  Congratulations to her and her family!  Its so fun getting to know new friends!

 My hubs and I haven't been married for ages, but we have been married long enough for me to figure something out.

Marriage without gratitude is dull. 

If you are noticing that your marriage is going through a rough patch, let me ask you, when was the last time you expressed how truly grateful you are for your spouse?

There are things that drive me crazy about my man. But seriously, there are things that drive me crazy about ME!

May I give you a challenge today?

Think about five things you are grateful for in your spouse.

Write them a text, email, note…heck, you can write it on your mirror in lipstick. However you do it, write them and tell them the ways you are grateful for them today.

I promise this will start what my hubby and I call the upward spiral. More on that next week…

To My Mister,

I realize that I haven't been grateful for you lately. Forgive me for my selfish attitude.

There are about a billion things, about you, that I am thankful for.

I am thankful for the little stubble on your chin, that you sometimes miss when shaving.

I am grateful that you take the trash bins out early in the morning, so I don't have to.

I am SO thankful that you kill the black widow spiders (after you name them of course).

I am thankful that you are my BIG SPOON, and that you hold me after a bad dream.

I am so grateful to be married to a man that makes Christ his priority.
