Hey Singledou[b]t readers! I'm Tess from The Framed Lady!

I'm so excited to introduce my blog to you guys. I started blogging to document my family, my personal development, and my style. It evolved over time into a forum and networking place, as well as a DIY and recipe blog.

What inspires you the most in life, blogging, etc.?

It sounds cliche, but my family is a huge source of inspiration for me. Pinterest comes in close second. I look to all things decayed, antique, handmade, and beautiful as inspiration.

What are some things you want to see happen in the next 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?

Big news!!! We're hoping to have a baby this coming year (we just started trying), so the next twenty years will be pretty consumed with kids. I'd love to grow my blog, help my husband get his businesses off the ground, and buy another house.

What are 5 things you'd rather not live without?

Obviously, there are essentials. Not counting those, I need my phone, my EOS chapstick, sandwiches, Diet Pepsi, and my special pillow.

If you could visit anywhere in the world (money is no object), where would it be?

Oh my gosh. Um, everywhere? On the list of trips I want to take in the next couple years: a road trip up the California coast, Italy, the British Isles, and an East Coast trip including New York and DC.

What are five things you want my readers to know?

1. I'm trying to get pregnant. Encourage me! I'm scared out of my mind.

2. I'm a fiend for sweets. Take this Salted Caramel Apple Pie, for example.

3. I have lots of fun giveaways on my blog, and love to feature new blogs!

4. I have an etsy shop where I sell handmade rosette headbands.

5. I've learned a lot about making passive income, and love to share what I know!

If a stranger gave you $5 and said use it for yourself, what would you spend it on?

Food. Every time. I would buy myself food.

What would your dream job be?

I would love to be a writer. It would be perfect for me to do at home while I'm raising kids, plus I just love it.

Chocolate Cheesecake Fondue with Frugal Foodie Mama

So, I recently (finally!) closed out a storage unit I had in another state for over two years. Just about my entire life was packed into that storage unit, including some of my most prized culinary treasures. I knew opening each box would be like a little Christmas morning for me... "Oh, I forgot I had this!" and... "Awesome! I was hoping that I would find this!" But I don't think I was more excited than when I opened one box in particular and there was my electric fondue pot. Finally! I could make fondue again! So, how did I christen my newly rediscovered fondue pot?? With a Chocolate Cheesecake Fondue, of course! ;)

What you will need:

16 oz (2 packages) of cream cheese

2.5 oz of unsweetened baking chocolate, finely chopped

1/2 cup of sugar

2 tbsp of Kahlua (or another dessert liqueur)- optional

Put both the bricks of cream cheese in the fondue pot and turn the heating setting to medium heat. When the cream cheese is partially melted, add the Kahlua (you can add a smidge more, I won't tell) and stir. Continue to heat and stir the cream cheese mixture until all the cheese is smooth and melted.

Add in the chopped baking chocolate and the sugar. Continue stirring until the chocolate is completed melted and your fondue looks very much like what you see above. :)

Serve your fondue with lots of fun dippers. We had marshmallows, cherries, strawberries, and chunks of angel food cake. Graham crackers would be fabulous too!

If (and that's a big IF) you happen to have any Chocolate Cheesecake Fondue leftover, it makes a fabulous spread for graham crackers the next day. Just take out your refrigerated leftovers about 20 minutes before you are ready to serve to let it soften a bit.

Hi, I’m Ang (as in, short for Angela). I’m a mother, wife, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend, attempting to do it all – because, well, I want to. I’m also a writer, crafter, scrapbooker, amateur photographer and Pinterest addict. Long before Pinterest, I developed addictions to books, snapping memories of my kids, and chocolate desserts... or chocolate anything...or...ok, just sweets in general - don't judge me! I love being creative. I’m married to my best friend and high school love (we've been together for more than half my life now, and married for 8 years). He's a very supportive albeit, handsome dorky guy - I have live-in tech support! He can also make me crazy, and I'm not talking about the good crazy: I'm a multi-tasker that swears by lists; he's a realist that detests them. We have two beautiful children – ok, I’m biased, but who isn’t when it comes to their kids, right? Our sweet, silly, smart son, Ethan, is four, and our darling, dimpled, diva daughter Olivia (Livi) is one.
